Green Notes

Ellie's class started a new discipline program where the kids get green notes for good behavior. Anyone who gets their name on the board gets a red note. Ellie has gotten a green note every day since they started the program. Everyday she runs out of the school with a huge smile on her face and her note held over her head. Today we celebrated her 7th straight green note with Jamba Juice. The first picture is not really relevant but it's a classic Ellie face so I had to include it.

The Best Doggone Dog in the West

Joely is pretty much like a child to me and a sister to Ellie, so I thought it was only fair to include her. Here she is laying outside in the blistering heat, which is one of her favorite pastimes.

Houston

Ellie and I got to go to Houston right before school started. We had a ton of fun. Baby Ryan is the cutest and sweetest baby in the entire world, and Ellie always has so much fun playing with Rachel, Amy, and Kate. They set up a complete Littlest Pet Shop city upstairs and Ellie and Kate never tired of playing with it. We also went to the Children's Museum of Houston, which is a really fun place.

First Day of Kindergarten

Ellie started Kindergarten today at Oak Tree Elementary. Her teacher's name is Mrs. Love. This is her "Nim's Island" dress that she has had picked out for weeks. She commented that she likes the school's blue roof and that she will be needing a Hannah Montana backpack like the other girls. I am trying to be tough but it was hard to see her walking into the school like such a big girl.

High School Musical

Amy, Ellie, and I went to see the High School Musical Broadway show when it came to Gammage in May. It was amazing. If it ever comes back to Phoenix I would highly recommend seeing it. The girls know the show backward and forward but they still thought it was great. Afterward, Amy came over for a sleepover which made the evening just perfect.
